What does your crontab -l return?

fcrontab -l gives:

*/20 * * * * /usr/share/prey/prey.sh > /var/log/prey.log

But i have a question. Does it should send a report even when the phone is idle? Or does it need the phone to be used for at least 20 minutes before it will send a report?

Because yesterday in evening, while i was going home, it created a report by itself... I was not able to reproduce that so i don't understand.

Do you have an active internet connection?

I have not tried it with 3G etc., so that might be a problem.

Yes i have an active connection, but i never use wifi, i am always connected via 2/3g.

My connection stays up as long as i don't disconnect it manually.

hmm, im trying to get this to run in N9

are any of the required Dependencies in n9 By Default?

im getting these errors when trying to run the prey.sh

line161, shopt not found /opt/share/prey/core/setup

	alias getter="curl $curl_options -s \"$user_agent\""
	alias mailsender="sendEmail"
}

so i suppose that some curl stuff is missing.

line78, Syntax error: Bad Substitution /opt/share/prey/core/functions

I'm afraid that I do not have any access to a N9, so I can't help you out there buddy - but yes, seems that shopt is missing.

After new years eve, I'll most likely optimize all of this, to see what I can do better.

cheers, it would be great if this was ported to n9 and well, working version for n900 also.

maybe great simple gui for the Settings so its easier for novices like me

1 of Prey devs said that if this project gets started they are willing to help, will see about it but hopefully.
