i got a stupid litte doubt, can i go from:

-DFL61_HARMATTAN_20.2011.40-4.420.3_PR_LEGACY_420_ARM_RM-696_PRD_signed.bin

to this one:

-DFL61_HARMATTAN_20.2011.40-4_PR_LEGACY_001-OEM1-958_ARM.bin

I don't think this appended to the end of the 1st one matters: "420.3".
They're both 20.2011.40-4, therefore they're both the same PR.
You shouldn't be able to IIRC, 420 > 001 therefore no.
You can always try it, it won't let you if you can't....

I think he can't flash with that firmware.

as 420>001

PR_Legacy_001 is usually the fw in its purest form. As carriers modify it based on regions the PR increases. e.g. the recently released PR 1.1.1 for MEA has a legacy of 006 but also specific carriers at 320. you can go from 006 to 320 but not back.

There's a great program called Navifirm, a lot of different versions floating around on the net but basically Google Navifirm download and you'll find a source, or alternately if you PM me your email I can send you a copy since it's small but it's not too hard to track down.
I offer the email solution only as I've found you have to filter through a lot of broken links.
