I know that the black always on screen is called the "stand-by screen" and that the one which appears after a double tap (for which you can set a wallpaper) is called the "lock screen" - but what do we call the one which appears next, asking you for your "security code"?

In any case, I would like to add some text to this screen, with my email address and a message asking that the phone be returned to me if found. I had this on my BB and it actually worked when I'd accidentally left the handset in a bar. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Not everyone uses that screen, you don't "have" to have it functioning.
I think (IIRC) it gets inadvertently enabled when you set-up MfE.
But yes if you do want to use it, then what you've suggested may he a handy idea I guess.

You could try to put in a enhancement request in the bug-tracker.
If lots of people agree & vote for it (can add it to your sig), then it may become a feature in the future.

Well, there would be little point putting the owner message on any other screen as those can all be dismissed. This is the one screen that a potential finder cannot get past (without reflashing etc).

I for one think this is an essential feature as gaining access to my email account would enable someone to take ownership of all my domain names and other sensitive accounts. If you do not want to use the security lock, or you just want to change the delay before it kicks in, you can simply select the "Non-provisionable device" option on the connection settings for your MfE account. This will give you all the options under the lock settings, including turning it "off" altogether (not recommended).

I was hoping that there was some way to customise this by editing some file(s), or even rebuilding some package. I think there is little chance that the Nokia devs would pick this one up.

Until someone figures out a hack for this or the feature is implemented why not just edit your wallpaper to include text with your contact information.

Yep, that's a good idea. Just thought I'd ask on here first to see if anyone knew a way to get it on the security code screen instead.

Wasn't suggesting the idea was unsound...
Thought you were one of the hoards that don't understand why you have the screen in the 1st place.

No idea there sorry. It can't hurt putting a enhancement request in.
You'll probably get a WontFix, but you may be enlightened in the process by devs etc.

Ok, bug report submitted. Please vote for it if you think this feature would be useful to have.

^ Great!
Added to dozens of other bugs I'm about to subscribe to, & possibly vote for.
I typically vote for all of them, there's only the odd one I totally disagree with.
Maybe also put it in your sig, so that others see it in your posts & vote.

You had importance as: "---" & "minor"
Changed it to: "normal" & "enhancement"

Doh! I was suffering from temporary drop-down blindness I think - many thanks for fixing!
