    This is a little hack damaltor and me started.

    It's called
    lpsmagic
    It basically shows info on lp mode instead of the operator logo:

    On your standby screen, which was kind of empty until now, the following things will be shown below the clock:
    - current date
    - uptime of the device
    - amount of used RAM
    - system load (1, 5, 15 minutes)
    - battery state
    - amount of used space on user data partition

    of course everything comes with a corresponding icon. The battery icon will change depending on charging state (not connected, usb connection, wall charger connection) and loading percentage.

    Changelog:
    Version 1.0
    * py daemon
    * initscripts
    * high niceness

    Version 1.1
    * fixed bugs in packaging

    Version 1.2
    * added more space between icons & text
    * added mm/dd/yyyy (us) version

    Version 1.3
    * Fixed usb bug

    Version 1.4
    * PR 1.2 Compatibility

    Version 1.4.1
    * Fix alarm bug

    Installation:
    You can download it from here:
    dd/mm/yyyy:http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5225087/ls-m....4.1_armel.deb
    mm/dd/yyyy:http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5225087/ls-m....4.1_armel.deb

    Installation for < Pr1.2:
    You can download it from here:
    dd/mm/yyyy:http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5225087/ls-magic_1.3_armel.deb
    mm/dd/yyyy:http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5225087/ls-m..._1.3_armel.deb

    To have it running:
    1. Install deb
    2. Reboot

    You could also skip reboot and do (as root):
    Code:
    /sbin/initctl restart xsession/sysuid

    2.0 Current TODO list:

    Sources:
    Only sources are py script and upstart conf, so you can see and modify them BEFORE installing on the device (unless you want to meet malf screen).

    Troubleshooting:
    P: The data is wrongly shown. Does not fit...
    A: Remove /usr/share/themes/blanco/meegotouch/libsysuid-screenlock-nokia/style/libsysuid-screenlock-nokia.css if it exists.

    Looks gorgeous!

    Too bad I can't use it on my N900. But if it's just python scripts... hmm...

    i installed it just had to install a bunch of python packets first.

    i dunno if it's related to the app but i had to enter all my passwords again after reboot. anyone else experienced the same?

    anyway, great mod and looks to be working nicely in the end! thank you very much admiral0
