I don't think it's of use to file a bug. That change is obviously so that the filename would fit into FAT's 8+3 filename length.

Sucky change for us living in the 21st century though .

I just found today that there is also lane assistance on the Drive app! (I think this is country-dependent... earlier when I was in another country I didn't notice this.)
