The Wayfinder application was originally developed by a company called Navicore and it was later acquired by Wayfinder. The original Navicore license is not time limited and it continues with the updated Wayfinder map application. I purchased Navicore for my N800 in 2007 or so and I still use it with my N800.

Maybe you could try to find the original Navicore package and license.

No, I meant that the Navicore software got updated into Wayfinder at some point when N810 was announced and that's way back.

Wayfinder is dead, long live ... er ... die ... wayfinder!

They released it open source about three weeks ago, but without any map data and without any Maemo source code. :-(

I have since tried downloading them from within the application, but it always either gives me and error or takes too long and never finishes.
I deleted the map by accident, but was able to download the map from inside the app by following the prompt.
