While developing contactLaunch I realized that the contact ID in the simulator was a number starting from 1 and going up, the contact id's in the phone are 6-7 digits. And after resyncing (after deleting and making account again while trying to work around the passwords request bug) the number was increased several thoisands more. This uncontrolled size inflation of the db might well be the culprit.
A Similar problem is when there are two contacts with the same number and a call comes from that number, then it just shows "2 contacts" instead of showing either of the contacts.
You can only see the contacts after answering the call.
