In Google Talk, when I was speaking with a friend who was on her Windows 7 machine, I had the camera out and clicked on the video thingy on my tablet.

It said that the call didn't support video.

Too bad there isn't some way for her to download an earlier video codec that would match the tablet's version.

This has to be 5 year old, stale news...

On Windows XP, I right clicked on my Audio folder, Sharing and Security, Share this folder on the network.

I've done this so I can play music through my Xbox.

Anyway, in File Manager, it also shows on my tablet.

If I click a song, it will even play it.

Finding something new like this always has me in smiles.

So yeah, I also have a shared Video folder as well.

The thing is, there's no way for me to tell Mplayer to open one of the vids.

I get an Unable to recognize the type of file and it asks for me to search for the app to open it with.

When I choose Mplayer, it launches the app but forgets that I wanted to play the video.

    Any trick to this?

Here's something that I hope someone knows.

    I launch gvm like this....
    /usr/bin/gvm/gvm -O none -a lnch -d 8192 -B /home/user/MyDocs/.images/gvm.png -u James

Sometimes when gvm crashes, it's still continues to run, updating the gvm.store file.

If I do the above command while gvm is still active, nothing happens.

What would be the script to wait for gvm to close first before trying to launch it again?

    Thanks.

Could someone please help me problem solve this?

Sign up for this site, it's free. It's an awesome chess website.

    m.gameknot.com

For my settings, I'm using an Intermediate board size since it fills the screen quite nicely.

Okay, so when using Microb in full screen, there's like some type of offset. I have to click two squares to the left from the chess piece I'm selecting.

If I'm in windowed mode, the offset is one square.

Is there anything in the about:config options that can be changed to resolve this?

I would use Tear, but for some reason, it doesn't save the cookies correctly.

Super many thanks if someone does actually take a look at this for me.

    Did you try Opera?

I've tried Opera, it was pretty ugly and didn't work so hot.
Disegia (sp?), it wouldn't allow a pop up window.
Fennec, it wouldn't allow me to log in.
Maccucuo (sp?), pretty nice but crashed on me every time almost.

I even copied the .cookies for Microb and pasted them in the .webkit cookies file for Tear.

I really did try a bunch of things on my own before asking help on this.

The about:config thing in Microb, I would like the D-Pad to send a left and right signal like it does but for it not too also scroll the screen as well on a web page that I really like.

Is there any way to do this?

Does anyone know the exact pixel size that can be used for the default contacts app?

When placing or receiving an internet call, it looks to be around 400x400 but I'm not quite sure.

I've tried looking almost everywhere, but I can't seem to find an answer for this.

In case I confused anyone on this request, here is what I'm after.

I would simply like to know what dimensions I need to crop the images of my contacts so it fills the entire area.

I've looked everywhere in /usr/share/icons and can't seem to find the background .png of it.

User data would be stored somewhere in /home/user, /usr is for static system/application data, even if it may sound like it contains user data.
