This sucks. the people who could help the community the most are basically being asked to wait. I would have bought one by now if I didn't have a discount code. I would have probably even had a basic version of my application working by now. Instead, I have been sitting on my hands while the rest of the world gets them. Nokia, stop fooling around and let us claim our tablets so we can start producing software!!!
At this point, don't you think it's about time for Nokia to give us some kind of explanation about what the problem is?
There is something called a 'developer community' out there that is doing a lot of free work for this platform and I think they deserve a statement from Nokia about what is causing the delay and when it will be resolved.
I say Nokia has a tweaked N810 (see N95 for example of what is going to be the new N810) and they are waiting the holidays season to finish so they can anounce it.
That is the only thing that makes sense. You don't wanna kill the platform that put you at the top of amazon's computer's listing, do you?
Make 500 happy contributors unhappy for a couple of monthes for no reason makes no sense. There must be a "silent" reason to make us all wait.
A hardware change will be one reason to sold out 'old' hardware or activate discount codes for ... ... €99,-
I can't imagine big hardware changes around xmas (=holiday) time now, so we wait another month or two: testing, producing, packaging, language adaptations...
Maybe they don't need developers and promoters anymore because sales goes better than expected? Are you cool enough to explain this reason asap at an emotional xmas time?
