My apt-get updates and installs have been frozen for a few days now. Ran an apt-get clean and update on the terminal where it runs fine until this part, after which it hangs.....

gn https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com ./ Packages/Dif
Ign https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com ./ Packages/Dif
Get:12 https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com ./ Packages
Hit https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com ./ Packages
Hit https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com ./ Packages
68% [5 Translation-en_US gzip 0B]

Anyone else stuck here?

I'm on PR1.2 and stuck on 0%. I guess the servers are hammered too hard. This also makes the Store unusable, and I cannot uninstall programs for some reason. Probably because apt-get is stuck, and/or a lock file is not removed. I think rebooting solves this issue.

But for the apt-get update issue, I guess we just have to wait till folks have finished updating to PR1.2?

That's pretty terrible if the capacity's not there to handle the load.
Assuming that's all the problem really is...

Do you have filemanager app installed, and so a file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/filemanager.list as additional repo?
If so, delete/comment its content, apt-get clean and try again.

Thank you so much.
That's the reason the Application Updates (same as apt-get update) got stuck and had the loading icon keep spinning, nothing had been refreshed because of that.
Finally, I now see the PR 1.2 available.

Some people who said they still didn't see the PR 1.2, this might be the reason.

Yeah that fix was mentioned in one of the other threads, but I'm not sure it holds true for the OP & users in a similar position.

To remove apt's lock file, become root and:
rm /var/lib/dpkg/lock

I'll try and edit my apt sources list, but it looks like the one it's stuck on is the Nokia repo so I'm afraid that it wouldn't help much.

How do I enable editting the filemanager.list to add # infront of deb?
