Bash client uses python
For me, it's easier to write a new program than check all the code.
I can write a daemon that runs on every startup, and will works always, until a firmware reflash.
But, what exactly is what the app needs to do?
Send an email with location and phone number? When?
Send all contacts info? I don't know where to start

well this is what i was thinking.

1. send report when SimCard is changed with location/sim card number and photo taken with front cam. should be able to turn on/off

2. Send report when reported stolen/missing via prey console (web)
with photo, location , export contact info/ (photos?) to cloudserver if possible and delete once complete. include link to files in the report.

3. Lock Device on request?

maybe have password protected file for settings inside the phone?

basically it should be working as Prey Security works im gonna try how the android version works today.

anyway would be sweet if we this could be ported to n9! im willing to donate

the app could also have so called "parental" control so parents can track their kids, phone sends location info every now and then if needed,like send sms to phone with simple commed GetLocation or something.

Maybe team up with the SMSCON guys to port that to N9?

Yeah, and support is reportedly unreliable when needed...

it might have configuration problems in N9, due to lack of GTK virtual keyboard support in harmattan

^^ Dude, this is great news.
Alarm and Alert feature is a nice start, the other features would be just cracking good.
But... how many N950's are out there in use? - Please make it available for N9.

i have now ported the prey-config code to pyside+QML. see here.
Now it should work on N9, with native look and feel
Read the wiki for instructions
most of the modules might be partially working, need someone to test it and give feedback.
I dont own an N9, so can't do much testing.
some of you can help me get an N9, by giving a good review of the app here

i have ported the Prey configuration script to PySide/QML from pygtk.
now it should work on N9, with native look and feel

i don't own an N9, so need some help in testing all modules.
comments/feedbacks/discussions are welcome
