I quickly put these together a few days ago for Fremantle: http://wnd.katei.fi/tmp/mosh/ . As the URL suggests, this isn't a polished package but it Works For Me(mt).

Other dependencies can be found at extras*. Sources are from mosh git (and not for the latest release) and are patched with fix_arm_alignment.diff that's supposedly included in debian/patches somewhere. Use at your own risk.

mosh is in no way restricted to ports 60000-61000, it only defaults to that. If you have already punched a hole for another range of UDP ports in your firewall you can simply use -P switch to define a port that will pass through.

I've updated Mosh to 1.2, though exiting the session seems to be a little bit buggy - if you could try updating, opening a session, and doing 'exit', that would help track down what's going on.

    Hi,
my N900 doesn't seem to like the package by wnd, when I try to install it, it says "program not compatible" (in German "Programmpaket nicht kompatibel").

But I just found another .deb of mosh 1.2.2 for maemo at http://blog.villekangas.com/?p=133 - and this one installs fine and works. Thanks Ville!

Ermm, anyone with the Harmattan .deb? The build.pub.meego.com address is (far from surprisingly) not responding.

I would be grateful if someone that has a working package of mosh for maemo could post it somewhere. The above link doesn't work anymore.

    Made a 'quickie'

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/hjsfx0nz1vv4l2z/mosh.tar.xz

(contains needed files: mosh_1.2.4-1_armel.deb and protobuf_2.4.1-1_armel.deb)
