Hi guys,

I was very happy to hear about Maemo port of Sunvox modular synthesizer and music composing application for N900, because music composing software is only thing what I really miss on my N900.

So I downloaded Sunvox 1.7, installed and started. But after I click the icon, nothing happens, only some windows shows for a quarter of second and thats it.
I tried to solve this major problem with couple of ways (installing some drivers which autors of Sunvox says are needed, but they are already part of my PR 1.3 system). I also reflashed my N900 many times. And I have three pieces of N900 and Sunvox is not working on anyone from my devices. Also my friends tried to start it and they have the same problems. It installs fine, but it don't want to start.

Please, can somebody help me to solve this problem? I really want to play with Sunvox on my N900, because I love to compose music and this can be notepad for my ideas wherever I am. And there is nothing else except Sunvox for N900 to serve my needs.

Please please please, help me...

I can confirm that lastest version of sunvox use 100 % cpu then crashes after a few seconds.

terminal output is multiples times:

ALSA snd_pcm_writei error: Broken pipe
ALSA EPIPE (underrun)

and when it crashes:

ALSA Can't recovery from underrun, prepare failed: Input/output error
sunvox: pcm_pulse.c:361: pulse_write: Assertion `pcm->stream' failed.
Aborted

You might want to download an older version (sorry I don't have it, try playing with the download url or search the net) and contact the author about the issue.

Yeah, I knew it would be problem of the version 1.7, because there are no discusions about problems with older versions. I already tried to find download of some older version, but without success - all links lead to newest version.
So guys, please, if somebody have older (working) version, send it to us somehow.
And yes, I will report this issue to the author - was already thinking about it.

Ok guys, Alex just fixed it. Soonly he will hopefully upload working version on his web (http://www.warmplace.ru/), but I don't know if he will put some message about this repair there or not.
However, I already tried fixed 1.7 version and it's working like charm. It was bug concerning only this version, older versions worked fair - I tried also 1.6.4 without single problem.

Faster than lightning, Alex. I'll leave the 1.6.4. on the dropbox account for now, just in case...
