I'm happy with the result (especially the fact that it took less than 10 minutes). I simply removed the pages of the notebook leaving the binding. The binding is just large enough to permit a bend to accommodate the portion of the n800 that houses the stylus. I affixed (using a rubberband) a small piece of foam padding to the inside spine of the binding, to make a snug fit. The moleskin's original elastic band keeps the n800 from falling out the side, and one more rubberband keeps it from falling out of the bottom.
