N900 to Laptop Internet connection error

    Hello,

Please help! I normally browse with my laptop using my N900 as a modem, but recently I've been getting an error message. I can't browse anymore. At first, I would get an error message after browsing for like 5 to 10 minutes; I would unplug the USB cable and plug it back again for it to browse again (for like 5 to 10 minutes).

However, I can't even browse again. When I tried connecting it would show the error message. I don't know if this has anything to do with the fact that I dissembled and reassembled my phone so as to change the internal speaker?

Please see the screenshot attached. Please help out in any way you can. Thank you.

can't tell you a solution about your specific problem.. but their is an alternate better solution...
use "Qt Mobile Hotspot" instead... but in USB tethering mode...
just install it and the setup inside Qt Hotspot will guide you "how to USB tether"
its simple no dialing up... even if N900 goes in Offilne mode and then online again your connection will resume automatically...

    GODbless

Thanks, but I only use network's 3G packet data to browse. Will this QT hotspot allow me use it? And is there any risk involved?

    God bless you too!
