is there a way to free up the memory from this thing?
i am constantly checking conky and the memory usage is increasing by the application java
i had to do a reboot because the phone gave me an error message of insufficient memory!
i still get unknown error. should we add this line? "" <entry key="PHONENR" value="YOURNUMBER"/> "" coz there is nothing to edit. my default prefs.xml is this--
i tried it again. deleted the directory. filled up the info again with the phn number 880********** and after click verify it says "too recent more info-157" what to do?

You can't close WhatsApp by closing the window; the process (and java with it, of course) will remain active until you manually kill it.
Code:
ps | grep java
kill *PID HERE*
So, don't open up WhatsApp 12 times in a row next time...

First up: please remove your phone number from your post.
Second: "too recent more info-157"
Welp, "too recent". Does that ring a bell?
first suggestion for a future release: a better support for the keyboard. will be possible to use the virtual keyboard? at least we dont have to continuosly hold the blu/shift arrows everytime we have to type numbers or capital letters.
when I leave the app open, whether on pc or maemo. repeatedly a conversation dialog opens called a number + "ping". I don't know where it comes from.
After the installation worked, I enjoyed it really and added contacts spontaneously. I didn't know the format. So one guy with an iPhone wrote to me. a other guy with android ics didn't see me in the contact-list. More contacts I haven't tried yet. But whether they can see me or not I see all of them offline, without me.
Last but not least thank you very much, who helped me get this app working.
