I would love more keybaord phones. Let's hope for the new nexus with keyboard. Tht could "force" nokia and others to create more qwerty phones.
I started getting pissed off reading Google patented having a qwerty on a phone/device....then I scrolled and they were patenting "mechanisms/hinges for such a thing".
Frankly the best design out there goes to the Nokia N97, no bar, hands down. They just need to reinforce the tilt mechanism (use a thin but strong Adamantium hinge) and make sure its a sturdy body (eg HTC Legend) so that you don't need to use a case and make it fatter.
Now just slap that on a 4.8in screen that has little/no bezel.... and make it slim (12.5mm or thinner) and you've got yourself the makings of a champion.

Couldn't agree with you more.
I loved my N97 besides symbian. Just move the directional pad to the left and a couple of buttons for games and it would be perfect.
Just bought a 7" huawei mediatablet. Really nice hardware, but I forgot what en epic lagfest android is.
Didn't you JUST finish pointing out that you bought a Huawei in the same breath where you tried to pin the lagging on Android? Heheh
I'm typing this to you on a bluetooth Logitech keyboard with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7-inch (OG) running Android 2.3.5... seven tabs/websites open at the same time in Dolphin while listening to a podcast... with no lag whatsoever. 1GHz Hummingbird processor. Your move. :P
which got very good reviews. Its just the responsiveness to your inputs and general UI smoothness which is nowhere near iPad levels. I guess the update to ICS will improve things a lot though.
Ok i returned it. I think (big) tablets just suck. Too heavy to hold and too laborious to use with touch. Everything above 5" isn't suited for (finger) touch use in my opinion. Probably gonna buy a galaxy note or s3.
