1. my windows xp no longer mounts both the internal and external CD cards. It used to automatically mount and assign a letter to each but now it wont ever mount the external card.. I've swapped cards over, used a different sd card in the ext slot but it still wont asssign a drive letter to copy files over with.
Both mmc1 and mmc2 are present and read/ writable BY the N800.
Any pointers please to get both 'drives' back?
2. I'm actually using a 2gig micro SD card externally and a 1gig microSD card internally, with adaptors. Now, on my 770 I use fanoush's wonderful kernel stuff to boot from RSMMC & speed things up.
Is there any speed benefit in buying a particular make or type of SHDC or SD card, instead of carrying on with these micro-SD's? I'm thinking of booting from a card as well as perhaps wanting more space.

If I run sync ; date ; dd if=/dev/zero of=/media/mmc2/test bs=8192 count=5000 ; sync ; date
gives a time of 18 seconds, and mcc1 gives a time of 15seconds)

Yep, I google searched ITT. But perhaps I'd used the wrong search terms (if anyone says 'search', please suggest some terms that would help, thank you..)
Please can I ask for help on these 2 issues:
