    N800, 2k8.

The Control Panel - loading wossname appears, then goes away and nothing.

Other than a general plea for ideas, I have two further thoughts:
    - is there a log somewwhere I could look in?
    - how can I tell what command is represented by the menu item so I can try it from the shell?
    TIA

    It's simply "controlpanel".

Well, that's weird: it opens from the shell, but not the menu.

And how do I work out what the command is for an arbitrary menu item, if you'd be so kind.
