Hi,

I bought my Nokia N9 Black 64 GB Made In Finland model from Abu Dhabi duty free.

I live in India and have a question that do I really need or will it be an sensible idea to manually Flash my Firmware to the Indian version that's available on Navifirm.

FYI...The product that I have on my mobile Sim Tray differs from the Indian version firmware.

Kindly let me know.

why do you want to flash it to an indian firmware? it makes no difference instead your updates will be much slower as india is not on nokia's priority list when issuing updates.

just leave your current fw on and it should receive updates in a timely manner if its a mea firmware.

Thanks for your prompt reply!!!

The reason I wanted to do this because I am facing some peculiar problems with my N9 which are listed below :

1. It came preloaded with PR 1.1 and I was having the known Facebook password login issue, after researching on internet found out that PR 1.2 was the solution for it so did it via OTA method but still when I am on mobile data network or my home Wi-Fi network I face issues logging into both Google Talk and Facebook, only one seems to work at a single pint of time but if I reboot my phone both the accounts are able to log in and work properly until a network disconnection happens.

For this after reading some posts and going through various forums tried the delete accounts->reset clear device steps numerous times but it’s still the same no luck.:smileysad:

2. There is an issue with the Mail for exchange configuration too as the folders inside the Inbox do not seem to get updated until I go into that sub folder and do a manual Sync.

I have tried the same above method but still it did not work.:smileysad:

3. Another strange issue is that how much I try to change the Week start day in the calendar it won't get changed to my desired day, it goes back to Sunday all the time.

I tried to restore to factory default but still no luck.

I would highly appreciate if somebody can put an end to my woes and give a resolution to the above mentioned N9 problems.

I've had the same probrem like You describe in nr3 - with the calendar star day. And reflashing with the same ProductCode FW helped. But it may be faster...(well flash take only 10m ) and easyer way to do it.

N9 was never officially launched in India so I would be suspicious of any so-called Indian version. Go for a stable European version which will be closest to your made in Finland N9.

The F/W on my phone is from Middle East, my question is should I reflash it with the same f/w or with a diff f/w with a diff. product code..
