If You want to keep the FW which You already have on N9, reflash with current ProductCode. In my case - I had clean(unbranded)FW, so I reflashed with the same PC and it helped with the calendar starting day.
I'm using Phoenix service software (latest 2012.. ver.) for that kind of jobs - it's very safe and easy to use at the same time. So even it something goes wrong You can always raflash with the "death phone" mode.
Anyway, I heard that at the moment is tricky to change the PC on N9. So if You decide to change, prepare Yourself to go for the one You have (if it's branded). In case of Phoenix You can download couple packages for the same phone and then decide (if something fails) which one You "send" to Your N9 - "Death Phone Mode"

Without changing the Product Code it will be all right. Because it is kind of Nokia Software Updating, but much safer and faster with Phoenix.

But how it is different from using Navifirm and the command prompt method??
Is there any tutorial or video link you can provide which shows the step by step method using the Phoenix software?
That will ease out the things a bit!

Ok, let's do this man
First, You will need Phoenix software, latest version which is 2012.16.004.48159, and You can download it from here:
http://www.mediafire.com/pss
I asume You have Navifirm+.
Firs install Phoenix and Navifirm+ on Your PC, Phoenix is running the best on XP or 7, but on Vista will manage as well - it just might be some connections issues with N9. Anyway You have to keep trying till it's connected. Try to disconect and connect N9 if it would be hard to establish the connection.
- Make sure that Your N9 is fully charged, and allow to charge more via USB.
- Make sure to disable all security options such as lock phone after period of time, change SIM, and so on. Set the security code to12345.
To connect open Phoenix and in "Connections" select USB - RM 696 - which is N9. Then chose "File" and "Scan Product".
Next will have to download the package. To do this chose "Tools" and "Data Package Download" . You will see the window that allows You to type the Product Code (and now Navifirm+ is very handy if You want to change the PC). In Your case You will have PC allready filled by the one You have on Your N9. If You want You can chose to download optional files (just click the box). Then pres "Check Availability", after that "Download".
My advise to You is not to click the "Download Optional Files".You will have all Your data saved on Your N9, and the callendar will be fixed.
When You have the package on Your PC, so when the download is complete, You closing the window.
Now chose "Flashing" and "Firmware Update". In the new oppened window at product code press "..." and You will see options of software to pick. In Your case it will be only one option, the one You just downloaded (You may close the Phoenix right after downloading, and then open it again if You will have no files after chosing "...")
Now if press "Refurbish". If You downloaded optional files you can always press "Options" and unclick the files that are an option like MMC (every file have the status next to it).
Follow the instructions given You by the Phoenix, eg. "disconect...press..." in case You will be given those. And don't worry if You will be ask to do so, just "Be Cool"
You always have the "Death Phone" option. In that case instead in "Connections" You leave it at NO CONNECTION, and in "File" You will have to "Open Product" from the list, where You chose RM - 696. In the Flashing window You click the "Death Phone Flashing" and the rest is the same - chosing files, presing "Refurbish" .
No worries, it's easy, and You will enjoy it
.there's one more concern I would like to ask I have some paid software's which I purchased from Nokia Store...what will happen to them...because I believe all phone will be wiped clean after the upgrade...|
