My n9 slipped out my hand and the screen broke. I can't decided if I should get another n9 or the 808 pureview.

Buy a new screen from ebay, easily fitted for around £100/$150 depending where you're from.

808 is aimed to be a camera more than a smartphone

The amount of money it would cost to fix the screen, I could probably get a new n9.

If it was me I would go for the 808. I'm more of a camera type, that got caught up in the exciting world of modding/tweaking/hacking and hoped that the N9's camera would've given me a better experience than it did.

Symbian would also cover my needs of a phone (smartphone if you wish).

    Regards Dousan...

Except for the fact that Elop has just killed the 808 in much the same manner as he killed the N9, by killing the OS:

How does $150 = $400 (lowest price possible)? Get a screen, watch the dis-assembly videos and look at the dis-assembly .pdf Most lcd's come with the tools you need, if not order a decent set and change it yourself. It is not rocket science. Just take your time and have faith in doing it yourself. It is not that difficult.

Here is a good video that should help you along the way

As much as I do love my N9, if I was to be back to buying decisions again now with the release of the 808 just around the corner, it would be the 808 on its way to my pocket.

I admit I prefer MeeGo/Harmattan to Symbian, but only really in slickness, Symbian is still fine for my taste and that camera along with interchangable battery would be enough to sway me over.

Also the idea of owning the final Symbian flagship device is nice, as someone that has enjoyed that OS for years.
