gtalk actually is one of the programs which you don't want to remove but maybe you don't really need it. The N800 and gtalk allows you to have video chat ( same as gizmo).
To remove any application, you use "Application Mgr" under "Settings".

While I don't think you can delete the search bar, you can remove it from the desktop by tapping on the 'Home' button in the top left corner of the status bar & then unchecking the box for it in the 'Applets' menu.
i love it!!!
but i want to get rid of some programs like "google talk, search bar on the background etc."
can anyone tell me how?

oh and is there any calender application that syncs with web-based one like google?
