I tried to test it using QEMU, but it slow as hell, so I passed only the first screen. I hope this fixes the issue with portrait mode and not hiding keyboard.
I tested this version on my N9, only get black screen, nothing more

And Ubi works for me (I gave you my output for reference). Are you running CSSU or "just" PR 1.3 or 1.3.1? (You can check that by going into Control Panel/Settings on your device, section "Geneal", do you see "About Community SSU" button?)
This is what I get...

qtquickcompat:
Installed : (none)
Candidate: 0.1.o

libqtm-11:
Installed: (none)
Candidate: 1:1.1.4-0fn~fremantle1

libqtm-12:
Installed: (none)
Candidate: 1:1.2.0+git20111104-0nd~fremantle5

cheers for the help

The major problem is in U1 API. It provides only 'Files' at this moment. There is possibility to fetch/update contacts via CouchDB, but Ubuntu team announces that CouchDB will be replaced by other DB engine. I am confused and don't really known if I should start implementation or wait :/

If I were you, I would try to run
Code:
sudo apt-get install libqtm-12 qtquickcompat
in terminal, because it looks like your device doesn't have those packages... mkiol, shouldn't they be in dependencies? (e.g. "qtquickcompat | cssu-package-sorry-i-forgot-the-name")

The latest version works perfectly for me! Thanks mkiol!
I'd be glad to translate it into Italian. If you're interested, send me a PM
