I'm facing a different type of problem with my proximity sensor. Sliding the keyboard out automatically makes proximity sensor return 'closed'.
It's possible sometimes to close the keyboard without the proximity sensor being re-enabled. I've just done a lot of testing and recreated the scenario a dozen times. Usually closing/opening the slider will reset the proximity sensor, but one time when I quickly opened/closed slider it was permanently stuck on 'closed' until reboot.
Is there a software fix that prevents the slider from affecting proximity sensor status? It's really strange IMO to design it this way.
