Using the above commands in xterm does not solve the issue... but FAM did solve it. I guess it is due to the second notification ( Yellow strip in the center) where you are being informed that you have to manually replace the trasitions.ini file.

Im not sure if I am doing something wrong if some one could help me it would be much appreciated
MaeMeeMo is well worth the trouble of getting it installed. CSSU is also essential for all N900 users. You have found your way to the best that the N900 has to offer, I think.
Is it possible to edit the statusbar to create it like the real meego?
No, Its not possible, because its coded into hildon-status-menu (if i'm not wrong), and the Hildon UI (hildon-desktop), and not easily editable. (may be closed source ).
i cant uninstall my maemeemo.
Ive tried all forced ways and it says the package is in a very incosntant situation (something like that)
can you helpe me?
For any problem regarding .deb package of MaeMeeMo, please contact the Maintainer (@Marmistrz).
Thank you,
@To All: 1. The MaeMeeMo release is delayed because I had to reflash my N900 a few days ago, and I lost most of my work, and I couldn't find much free time nowadays... Anyway I promise I will release it some day...
2. Transitions file needs to replaced manually, even in .deb mode.
3. Contact MaeMeeMo .deb maintainer @Marmistrz for problems related to .deb packages
