I like to check all the apps that become available for n800.
i have many installed and using most of them

but suddenly i found out that my rootfs is full
there is no more space and i can not install any more apps.
Is there a way to install apps in the sd cards ?

Diskusage reports my /dev/root as 100% full.

Is this a problem? My /rootfs is only 72% full.

Boot from MMC, I use to do it, not for the 2008Os, apparantly wifi wont work. Have not follow up on the topic, search and find out before attempting the project. I also recommend this if you choose to go ahead with MMC boot, http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...mplified+clone. The first time you do it, it is the same as in the maemo.org. But from the 2nd time onward, you are on auto pilot!

I use to go to MMC boot for the same reason, unlimited space for pgm installation. However, this is much less critical for N800 as it has 256 MB vs 770's 64 MB. First, I throw away all but the eng edition of the user manual, the eng edition I also moved to MMC1. There are 20+ versions of the user manual. Second, I constantly checking on audio/docu/games/images/video and constantly remove/delete unwanted files to MMC1. Today, my rootfs is 62% full with 96 MB available, with ALL my usual buddy pgms installed and up and running.

Dont get me wrong, to have unlimited pgm space is very very attractive, but not without wifi, at this stage.

Just delete the media files and manual PDFs in the MyDocs directory, that'll clear up about 40MB.

Wi-fi does work when OS2008 is cloned to card.

Wi-fi does not work in os2007 rootfs once you upgrade kernel and initfs to OS2008. So when dualbooting OS2007 and 8, wi-fi does not work in 2007 system, 2008 is fine.

You are 110% correct, as always. I was successfully cloned to int mem boot, and apparantly everything works, includes wifi. I do have a tremendous problem with my partition, pls take a look and see what you think or where to go from there, thanks, http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...407#post122407, thread #120.
