I thought the stand was a very clever packaging design to enable the small box that the 770 shipped in. I work in product design and appreciate good designs but have also found over the years that there is a broad sprectrum of users. Even within the tech head early adopters there will be a large percentage of users that even the simpliest designs will cause confusion. As the previous messages in this thread support this theory. Good stuff to learn from. By the way I put it together after I removed it from the box, thanks Lego's. Also I use it all the time.

There are a thread or two listed under Accessories that talk about keyboards and what ones people use.

It's a Think Outside BT keyboard that I got cheaply off eBay. It has a German (QWERTZ) layout and has DELL stenciled all over it. It almost works out of the box with the 0.3.7 Bluetooth keyboard drivers (haven't gotten around to upgrading to 0.4 yet); I just can't seem to find a question mark. This keyboard comes with a built-in generic stand for PDAs, that fits the 770 quite well.

All in all, I find I'm using the keyboard less and less, as the handwriting recognition software appears to be getting much better in recognizing my printing.

i love the lil stand - i thing it is cute and a great way to show the 770 off to ur friends by standing it on ur desk

Why didnt' they just put a slightly angled knotch on each end of the black casing toward the bottom. Then you simply remove the silver case, set it on the table and slide the bottom of the 770 at a slight angle into the case. From case to base.

Doh!

Or just put a simple swing-out stand like on the back of a picture frame into the case or the 770 itself.

I'm not carrying around those funky feet.

And then you accidentally press a little too hard on it, and ... snap. I suspect the customer support cost if Nokia had used this design would have hugely outweighed the cost of the plastic Lego pieces.

Sure....

OS: Windows (although the 770 has made me feel like upgrading to Linux being my full time OS. But I still don't know if I can leave those Windows only programs.)

Stand: Haha, No, but I just thought it was a packaging device....

Stand : no (but I did not spend much time fiddlin with it)

You know, that stand is not mentioned anywhere in the instruction book.
