I was wondering how do I sequentially install applications? something like:

apt-get install <application1>
apt-get install <apllication2>
etc

So I can write something on my desktop can I load on my n900 and have all applications install themselves while I do other stuff instead of installing them one at a time.

Thanks for the help in advance

normally in linux you do:
sudo apt-get install 'program1' 'program2' 'program3' 'program4'
e.g.
sudo apt-get install chess marble mplayer mahjongg

on the N900 you just become root and then leave out sudo

Actually it's the other way around:
Normally in "Linux"* you become root and then run apt-get. Only Ubuntu and derivatives use sudo instead of su.
btw: you can use sudo on the N900 too, so your sudo line works here as well.

*) Actually it's only Debian and derivatives. Other distros have totally different mechanisms although some rpm-based distros (e.g. Suse, Fedora) can use apt too.
