Not sure if this has been recorded yet, but for some reason, I can't seem to Add Detail MSN (Haze) in contact cards. Also, in many of my MSN contacts, their MSN id appears in the GoogleTalk field instead of MSN (Haze).
What I'm trying to do is to set up single contact cards per individual containing each of their IM usernames, but I guess that would be out of the question at this point in time since it is unlikely that the status indicator would know which one to reflect against....
But any advice/tips on getting 'single' contact cards working would be much appreciated
It just works for me. Edit their contact card, choose Add Field and pick the IM program. Fill in their info. The status indicator shows the highest of them all... which is to say that if the person shows as online on AIM, away on Yahoo and offline on Google Talk, it will show that person as Online.
When you select Add Field, are you able to choose MSN (Haze)? I don't seem to be able to, and have no idea why. I've reflashed my N800 with the OS2008 (50-2) twice already and still not having any luck with it...
On editing my first contact, I could Add Detail and select MSN (Haze). However, future contacts and even when creating a new contact card, I could no longer choose MSN (Haze) in Add Detail.
Options now include:
Email
AIM
Gizmo
GoogleTalk
ICQ
Yahoo
Phone
Web address
But no MSN (Haze)
I'm trying to figure out what is causing this, but have no idea where to start...
After I setting up my MSN account, no contacts were imported into the MSN folder that was created in Contacts.
However, upon setting up my Yahoo account (after adding zerojay as a buddy), a whole bunch of contacts appeared in the Yahoo folder, mostly with '@hotmail.com' and most of them being my MSN contacts.
On opening a known MSN contact, I'm seeing his @hotmail address appearing as a Yahoo Detail
I set the n810 to red pill mode. Then installed Rtcomm. Didn't work so then (As root) ran apt-get dist-upgrade which upgraded the system. It still didn't work. So uninstalled and reinstalled the Rtcomm deb. Still no extra protocols.
