Yeah folks who've been around long enough know that this is def. the last major update, but that there may still be minor updates going forward.
They did officially say several times that the N9 will be supported till 2015 or for "years" after it's release etc.
Despite all the recent chaos I expect them to hold true to that, perhaps contracting out the work very soon though.
We've also had lotsa tips to suggest it'll be mostly a perf/sec/stability/usability (i.e. bug-fix) focused release, but w/a few "significant"' features.
I doubt it will add as many features as PR1.2, but hopefully there's a few very significant ones that reflect the widest popular interest/demand.

Last October or so I received a major update for my 5800xm. On a three year old phone!
So, I still hold good hopes on the N9. Samsung has a tradition in abandoning it's customers, not Nokia.

Many of the contributors there are aware of that, they just like to play mind games...
And to actively seed doubt over whether Maemo6x->MeeGo OR Meltemi + Qt could've/would've worked.

Even if it's not out till Sept. it'd still be doing better than the N900, in-terms of speed of delivery of major updates.
Then again, that's not exactly an awesome benchmark to live up to, & I hope several more minor updates come, unlike the N900.

All small signs point to possible 1.3 release, i think it might actually come true.

But i don't think it will be June since we only have 1 more day left of it!

I guess it's clear now that the update is definitely coming and it will happen soon. The "small but valuable" description that I was constantly seeing makes me think of performance/UI/resource management improvements or bugfixes and I can't say I dislike that. I'll take these over features anytime.

Like the one we had on the N900 (boosting output from 88% to 100%)
