Ok give them a chance now, i have said my piece now i rest i am sure something good will become of this.

Am actually believe it or not, not a *** i just have more balls than most on here (comes with age you know) and i am not liked for my outspokeness and bluntness but there you go every board needs one .

Suggest now everyone just wait and see what happens so enough i think of the name calling etc from everyone.

It is not a black / white (binary) dilemma. The council board has made some minor mistake in the start of the Community Awards and the problem has taken big proportions during and after the results without any concrete solutions.

IMHO, the council board still works for the benefit of the Maemo/MeeGo community, and some (post edit : or all, I don't have the knowledge to judge anybody) of them indeed deserve community award devices.

Let's keep the Maemo/MeeGo community alive and strong, despite Step#%n El@p sabotage @ Nokia, etc.

If possible anybody (from "Community Awards" or "Coding Competition") could help to exchange the N9 for a N950, as a N950 was the preference of itsnotabigtruck.

It took a couple of weeks to sort out our prize split and it's balanced across our categories so I wouldn't want to change it, else we'd be back to discussing everything again So please try and see if you can get an arrangement with one of the community award winners or one of the selected Qt Apps developers. There was a shortage of N9s in the Qt App programs at one stage so you might have some luck there. Else you could maybe swap with one of the coding competition winners but I understand you don't want to wait until the competition is completed. Fingers crossed you'll get someone to swap

I'm very glad, that attempts to hijack devices from wonderful Coding Competition have failed. OTOH, it would be absolutely fantastic, to see entires with some useful projects from people, that were not CA winners and protested here.

I'm keeping my thumbs for switching from generating multi-lines of posts to lines of code

Just to make things clear - if some people unsatisfied by Ca results are willing to sponsor few devices, for - in their opinion - more deserving ones, I'll absolutely keep thumbs for this idea, and, as said, Council is willing to help, if needed.

If, OTOH, someone would try to hijack prizes from other categories, in attempt to give "freebies" for someone (or self0, I'll do everything I can, to prevent that - you can take it as granted.

Fine enough - so keep "liking"? I don't see, how jealous "willing" to hijack someone's else device is related to this topic. You see someone, that in Your opinion, should be awarded? Donate device Yourself, or even start something as great, as Coding Competition is (which started with only 50 bucks as a pool).

In other words, do something Yourself, instead of checking possibilities to rob someone.
