I've done some searching on this but haven't found what I'm looking for. I seem to always get worse quality calls and connection errors when I'm tethering and the phone rings. so when the phone rings I'd like for either the wifi/internet connection to be disabled or all open apps to be shut down automatically (which would kill the tethering app). Something of this nature.

Autodisconnect doesn't have the option to disconnect when the phone rings which is a shame.

Does anyone know of a script or app which can do this?

I can't give you an off-the-peg script, but, take a look at http://wiki.maemo.org/DbusScripts and http://wiki.maemo.org/Phone_control for some pointers in the right direction.

In short, you want to react to the "call coming" signal on DBUS and use it to trigger a script containing whatever disconnect actions you might want to take....
