abchobby , you must add the contact in the international phone number format...as in +COUNTRYCODE before the number..

For example your friends number would be:
0612345678
Then you would have to change this to:
+39612345678
Not sure if this will change in the future when contact sync is made. I'll leave that for Scorpius heh.

Yappari doesn't upload any of your private information to Whatsapp servers. It just queries "what is the status of number +x?" and the server says "status is y" or "user not registered". You can even do it manually using curl or wget. That's not a violation of your privacy, Whatsapp can't save the numbers there's not way to relate them.
And like I told you before each one of your 1161 contacts is the contact of somebody else that use Whatsapp, which is querying those numbers anyway.
Also and as a final note, if you are really making a stand that Whatsapp Inc is violating your privacy then why are you using it? That's double moral standard what you're trying to do (cheating, registering with a fake number, etc).
You should try to convince other users not to use it, instead of trying to cheat Whatsapp. Don't you think?

Did you read google privacy policy? I don't know about Android particular privacy (if it is different from Google general's one). Which are the privacy problems you see on Android?
