Should be possible, I just held the power button on mine till it powered off and then restarted it.

You could also power it off as I said before and then flash it, the phone will turn on and flasher will reboot it in flashing mode and then bobs your uncle.

Well Nokia do at least know how to build a decent phone, just apparently don't know how to support it..

the seller has stated that the item is a 64gb but im not sure any of the other colours came as 64gb? (this one is magneta) does the n9 comes in magneta(pink) 64gb?
I only know of black and white

nope..magenta is 16GB unless they changed the case of the 64GB version...

Looking at the list of product variants listed in NaviFirm, the only 64GB versions available should be only black or white.

reboot must restore it from local-mode but if it doesn't work power it off and reflash it because booting in normal more should only enable temp normal mode i guess

Hehe... Every time I flashed my N70 the flash went perfectly fine but missed the last step: reboot. Even the Power button didn't work, so I had to remove the battery every time I flashed it.
Scary the first time, but you get used to it...
