Is there actually some real result coming out of all this?
It´d be pretty nice to see at least a few decent apps mentioned in this list available for N9...I´m having a hard time to find any...
they at least should've convinced damn Soundhound to release N9 version...I'm sure we all have gotten into many situations when it was just impossible to compete with crappy Droids or iPhones, simply because such (and some really good) apps are "unavailable"
and it's not about some pathetic or envious thoughts...
qgil simply should've picked the most-requested apps from this list and made it happen, only for a last sign of some "good will" from Nokia, since we're already doomed...
Just wondering, is the Lumia version of FB any better compared to ours?
Galaxy S2 version seemed extremely detailed. I have the N9 version, then there's that Fmobi, the thing is Super Slow and never gets updated as compared to the symbian one, last time I checked they were on version 3.0. Looked impressive.
Latest version of fMobi's great (3.03 IIRC, released 1-2wk ago), tis $2 in my country, better than stock IME.
Then there's Sociality, dev on it's been slow lately (MAG's a busy man!), not sure how it compares with fMobi & stock.

I think you're forgetting what he explained about how this thing will work.
Try reading some of his earlier posts here, & associated wikis etc.

WP7x's notification framework is known to be far less capable all-round than Maemo6x (see MNB articles on it), so it'll def. fall down in that area.

It was updated recently, took much longer than the S^3 version, but it's now at parity, well, in-terms of version no's at least.
A flashcard application. The N900 has about five; the N9 can't manage one.
And how long has the N900 been out for now? (rhetorical Qn)
Cogs in the F/OSS commune can sometimes take a while to build-up momentum, but they inevitably do.
