i tried to follow instruction on the link but the same error keep on coming up, i was thinking if there is a way i cat install it terminal, this is what i get from the log, do you have any idea what can be the problem
Also, wiki says clearly: Before taking any action, check the the Problems tab when viewing the package in the Hildon Application Manager (HAM).
Did you do that?
My N900 became unstable after installing CSSU-thumb. Unstable in this case means graphical problems when switching homescreens, applications not always starting, and reboots and crashes when running for example Microb.
Installation (using HAM!) went ok as far as I could see, though I did not uninstall kernel-power settings v14 until after upgrading.
After trying unsuccessfully to install Kernel-power 51r1 to see if that would fix things, the device wouldn't boot and I had to restore my backup, so it is hard to give more information now.
Any idea what caused these symptoms? Should I have installed Kernel-power 51r1 first?
I am on CSSU-T, have multiboot installed, swap on sd, running DSP settnigs at 900mhz, swappolube at settings from the 'ramzswap' thread (but not running ramzswap currently).
OK I have 1.flashed my phone 2.enabled repos 3.extracted nitrdroid(installed kernel rc7 with multiboot) 4.clicked on the given link to install cssu thumb then it installed it (~ 48 mb).the phone restarted as it had to and then the multiboot menu showed me 1.maemo ... 2.nitdroid ... i clicked to boot the maemo kernel but the result was reboot after reboot after reboot any suggestions ?
For using this along with multiboot you should install -bootimg package for kernel you prefer (kernel-cssu-bootimg for kernel-cssu) and select this kernel in multiboot.
