    Hey Guys,
I know there are many threads for the same issue, I Googled a lot for solution but couldn't find any.

Here's the list of wht's working and wht's not.
    Working
    1. Blue LED at startup
    2. Startup tone
    3. Keyboard backlight
    4. Vibration on touching the screen

    Not working
    1. No display on LCD
    2. No display on TV-OUT

I had flashed the root fiasco but not the emmc as it contains the data. Tried keyboard shortcuts ctrl+shft+x and typing commands, but no use.

Also tried putting simple script in sdcard and running using xterm(cant confirm whether xterm was launched), but no use.

    Code:
     ls /home/user/MyDocs >/media/mmc1/list.txt

So is there any other suggestion that I could try to retrieve data from emmc....

In your shoes, i would try RescueOS, http://devrandom.mooo.com/N900/rescueOS/

this will allow you to get into your N900 filesystem using pc + usb cable, irregardless of whatever else is installed or not installed on it.

Thank you for your reply, but since I haven't used Rescue OS before, can you tell me what commands do i have to type in (blindly ) after flashing the n900 to rescue os.

As mentioned in the documentation of rescue os, the command for flasing is
    Code:
    flasher-3.5 -k 2.6.37 -n initrd.img -l -b"rootdelay root=/dev/ram0
Is this correct in my case??
