there are cases of carrier branded firmware not being able to be flashed to a higher pr legacy...

There are two components for allowing a successful flash; a same/higher PR LEGACY and the timestap of the firmware...

In your case it could be that althought the image you want to flash has a higher PR LEGACY it is a newer image meaning its timestap is later than that of the image you want to flash...

Hence, the higher pr legacy image you are trying to use can't be flashed on your device...

So,you mean that I need image with timestamp earlier than current firmware? How can I check that? I tried with its original firmware which, released earlier but I failed again..

Does anyone know of any flashing services? Or would any local NYC N9ers be willing to help me flash for a fee? I'm not tech saavy and don't want to end up bricking this thing....

    nope no way to downgrade...

Well you can contact itsnotabigtruck on whether he can help with this matter...

my guess would be to use Sparsify or unlzo but its best to ask INABT on this matter...

You could always send me your phone and I'll flash it and send it back

A couple of people have already used this service...
