I was thinking of starting an IRC channel, if there already isnt one. I know there is a #maemo on freenode. I will set in #internettablettalk on irc.freenode.net, if it starts to generate any interest perhaps, we can register as a group. Anyhow come join:

It is a question of quality of channel content and strong future growth trends, too. There already is quite a bit of active development discussion time to time on the channel.

True, but if the non-developers don't get a response to their "OMG!!11! LOL!11!! Teh 707 is teh r0x><0r2" comments they can *then* go elsewhere. Trying to form social groupings by dictat rather than evolution never seems to work, IME.
