This has been touched on int a few threads but i've yet to find a definitive answer. I want to be able to use one 854x854 PNG for both landscape and portrait views of the lock/standby screen. I presume I need to edit the libmeegotouchhome CSS file and I know how to do this but what do I need to change? My CSS skills are pretty rusty.

Hm...not sure but have you tried N9 Quick Tweak (tool)?

Just set any other wallpaper, and replace the one in /home/user/.wallpapers/wallpaper.png

The lock screen background has absolutely nothing to do with the libmeegotouchhome CSS file.
