    PCQ,

Thank you once again. I had missed Westy's original question when I looked through that thread yesterday.... wow, a lot got added since then!

I like the map the key to window move idea. I had been doing the virtual desktop thing but it can be a drag trying to move a window a tiny bit.

@Penquinbait - what would I send you for my shortcuts would I just copy and send you my *.desktop files? I've never shared a shortcut before

Yes all I need is the desktop file and if you have any icons, but I suspect you used hildons so should only need .desktop files

OK, FOR DIALOGS OFF THE SCREEN USE THE PAGER IN THE TASKBAR.

You can drag windows to other desktops, you can also move windows within a desktop. So you can drag the window up on the pager and it will go up on the screen giving you access to the bottom of the window.

Ok - I'll email you the .desktop files I can also instruct people how to make them for themselves, they're really easy to make The hardest part is figuring out what command to use to launch from xterm.

As for use the pager to move windows around - while I appreciate the option, I actually prefer to do it using the button because I only use one desktop and don't even have the pager active in my panel. You can also move and/or resize windows by tapping on the little icon in the top left corner of the Title Bar and selecting the appropriate action.

To sum it up... There are many paths that lead to the same destination Having KDE allows us to each choose our own path - that's a really good thing

You do realize all the buttons on the tablet were already mapped to KDE uses.

The menu button brings up hildons menus (when in full screen)

The zoom+ and zoom- both work in konq and konsole to increase or decrease font size.

The fullscreen button makes windows fullscreen.

The home button switches desktops, if you had any

    May someone try searching?

Searching the forums for KDE gets me 194 hits.
    This is the first one.

Once I have reflashed 2008 do I can get to my 2008 partition, I will re-try KDE.

Is there a way to change the colours? It comes up a rather funky purple and green on my screen and I'd rather the more restrained stuff I use on the desktop. kcontrol didn't appear to work so I couldn't use that.

*edit* also has anyone figured out how to at least emulate a right click in KDE on the tablets?
