    Well all of them had their short-comings...That's what I was referring to...It has always been that Nokia would strip 1 or 2 features [either thro' software or hardware limitations] from their flagships hence never has there been a complete flagship phone from Nokia...

    Yup the SGX530 is able to handle the full range of 720p videos but due to the lack of codecs and drivers we have the issue on the n9...1080p on the other hand has no chance on the chip...

    Just remember that the SGX530 is a 7-year old chip [from announcement]. OTOH the SGX540 used in the GNexus is less than 5-years old so the difference in video playback will be present...

    Sgs2 uses mali400 afaik, sgx540 is on nexus, @_@

    However, the performances of the mali400 and sgx540 easily beat the sgx530 we have on the n9...

    Yes I can help you ... stephen.elop@nokia.com .

    N9 can not play 1080p videos as N900 doesn't have capacitive screen and will never have one , just simply because it doesn't works .

    then how am i able to play 1080p converted videos wdout any hesitation? This just means that it requires codecs mr genious.
