Once I tried to change folder where camera-ui (one from CSSU, but should also apply to stock) save photos - I wanted it to use folder on my truecrypt partition.

It turned out to be surprisingly hard - You can't of course, just symlink it from vfat. Editing all config files that people pointed me to was to no avail. I'm still shaking my head about it.

To change the default camera location, the only thing I found was to click the rectangle icon next to the 999 in the bottom left corner. There's an option there to change between internal storage or external storage...

This was probably what Estel was refering to but to another partition...

Yea, thats change between eMMC and microSD. Unfortunately, it's only switch between mmcblk0p1 and mmcblk1p1 (MyDocs and microSD vfat, on default setup) - no way to convince it to save on any other partition, AFAIK. Which is big lacking feature, IMO.

    You probably have this directory.
But I guess you tried to enter it as root-user

    and cd ~/.config
would cd you to '/root/.config' then

    but it is the directory
    /home/user/.config/
where you find the file 'user-dirs.dirs' responsible for these directories.
