I still think we can separate the site name and the NFP name, and as such all variations are ok (Hildon fundation, Eolos fundation, or else)

For the site, mer-community is available on all main domains, though.

Once we have a majority consensus on the NFP name, if there's no domain available for it*, then we can always use something similar or totally different.
It's not even critical that the NFP have it's own dedicated site, ofc in a perfect world the community site_name/domain would be based on the NFP name or be similar.
(maemo.org for archiving all the old content legally/practically must stay of course)

*depending on the popularity of the candidates we short-list, it may even be worthwhile seeing if we can secure the domain/s from current owners

let's be creative and invent a new word/acronym:
free your device -> fyde
so 'fyde.org' and 'free your device foundation'
which has a cool ambiguity in the name
