Do it in terminal to get detailed output:
    Code:
    devel-su
    dpkg -i wazappfilename.deb

You are missing a bunch of dependencies. Try
    Code:
    apt-get -f install
and if it won't resolve dependencies manually install
    Code:
    apt-get install python-accounts python-dbus python-pyside python-qtmobility

Just installed Cepi's latest version. So far there are no bugs/issues. Maybe I've been blinded by the notifications icon... Oh, and I didn't have to go through any complicated method of installation.

For those of you having problems on Wazapp startup due to invalid jpgs and experiencing this error
    Code:
QML Image: Error decoding: file: ...
    or
    Code:
    QML Image: Cannot open ...
    please read on.

How to get rid of the error and clean up your avatars

    1. Get the attached zip file, unzip it and copy the script to your downloads folder
    2. Download this deb file and put it in your downloads folder.
    3. In terminal (as root) Install the deb file plus the packages "file" and "imagemagick"
    Code:
    devel-su
    dpkg -i /home/user/MyDocs/Downloads/harmattan-repository_0.4+0m6_all.deb
    apt-get update
    apt-get install file imagemagick
    exit
    2. In terminal (as user) move the script to /home/user and make it executable
    Code:
    cd
    mv /MyDocs/Downloads/cleanpics.sh .
    chmod +x cleanpics.sh
It has to be moved to /home/user/ because /MyDocs/Downloads/ is mounted as fat32 thus not supporting the executable flag.

    And execute the script
    Code:
    ./cleanpics.sh

    Disclaimer:
What this script does is looping through all jpg images in your avatars folder and looking into all file headers, picking the files that are declared jpg but really are png files. It then prints a list of those filenames and converts the files to proper jpgs, thus overwriting the original files. In order to work, the packages "file" and "imagemagick" need to be installed.

If you are not sure whether you need this or not - don't use it.
If you are not sure how to use this - read, understand, read again if necessary, then ask.
If the script messes up your files I can't be held responsible for this.

And most important: think before you type.

    Hello.
    Yes, I have this problem.

Sometimes like the program gets stuck like this.
    * A message is sent.
    * Transmission status icon o dot stays red as if messagen hadn't leave. But it left without me knowing.

From then on, I can go on sending messages.
All will show same status, as not sent.
And I will not receive any.
Upon reset, Wazapp shows all orange or green icons.
    And all responses come in.

    As suggested:
    Quit Wazapp.
    Opened terminal
    Wrote instruction
    /opt/waxmppplugin/bin/wazzapp/wazapp

    Got "not found" error message.
    But file is there
