Hi guys,

just registered to also send out a BIG THANKS to the devs ... now my wazapp is working again ...

Btw.:
I also had the "Connecting ..." Bug and synchro problems (had to quit+restart wazapp after each message) this morning ... I then completely uninstalled wazapp, deleted the /home/user/.wazapp folder and re-installed the 11092012 version...

since then it works great

Again big thanks to the dev team ... I really like the N9, but it would be now almost unusable without that community helping out where nokia has just burned its platform.

It's back up fine now..all works ok, it was a server issue probably.

first of all - thanks to all the developers for bringing whatsapp to the n9!!!

... my login works fine with the following version:

wazapp-11092012 from CepiPerez (thank man

)

but as soon as i try to sync my contact list - wazapp is freezing!
-> not even the contact list is loading when i press "sync contacts"

... im having a huge contact list (1200+)

does anyone have/had the same problem as me?

PS: i cant even close my wazapp through busybox - "killall - 9 wazapp" and "killall -9 python" gives no response ... now my terminal is hanging too and not even ctr+c is working

ok, i had some issues too this morning, but i changed nothing and now it's gone.
must be a server issue. Keep in mind that we have 200 000 users according to download stats and each time we all plug in it could be a heavy load on the server itself.

Somebody asked about this last fix. Yes, i agree with Scorpius, no way to tell if this is going to hold long. Days or months.
We all proved here that this isn't an abandoned project at all so expect a permanent fix once we have it finished.
Also, i personally think that bytes change was caused by DNS server dropout.
Official clients were just a bit more flexible at that error.

So carry on as usual, updates are coming...

The way you record video or image in Wazapp now is the only correct and best way that Harmattan provides, via DBUS calls.
Trust me, I used it a lot, doesn't get better than that.

About audio recording, there is no such native thing in N9.
It would be much appriciated if someone would make an audio recorder and contribute to the project.

Location is fixed too AFAIK.

So have fun on your dates now that you have Wazapp back again.

FYI

I noticed avg. idle consumption to have risen since this update.
from 12mA to 17mA, with only whatsapp changed.

Many thanks for the hard work DEVs!!!
Due to most other OS users having Whatsapp, i'm also dependable on this app. Thanks again for making this happen!

Hi Eem,

I find a way to re-register the whatsapp account without downloading bluestacks.

1. Open wazapp and register your number
2. It will say Fail.too.many. ignore it and click on the voice button
3. it will faill but ignore it again and click on the manually input number button.
4. after failing both you will get a icon that says "Everything Failed? Try Me" click on it and it will find back your old account and your set XP

I hope it helps and if it works spread the wrote for me ok ?

haaa! got it working, but its just a temporary solution!

1. i removed my whatsapp account
2. i removed the wazapp version from CepiPerez
3. i removed /home/user/.wazapp folder
4. i installed the version from tgalal (thanks man

)
5. synced the contacts
6. uninstalled the version from tgalag (i still get the "connecting ..." issue)
7. re-installed the version from CepiPerez

and now its working - with all my contacts!!!
