I finally upgrade to 2008 and I really like it but there are some strange things:

-sound isn't as loud as 2007

-screen isn't as bright as 2007

    - is harder to scroll in web pages

    browser seems faster in 2008

    I am thinking of downgrading...

where I can find the latest version of OS2007?

If you have made a final decision going back, Enter here; the code requested can be obtained without do the battery pull, just go to control panel and look for about, there you can get your WLAN address.

Known bug, though I have to say that I haven't noticed the difference.

This doesn't jive with what I've seen and what I know. Are you sure it's not just the darker theme throwing you off? Now, it is true that it doesn't get as dark, but it nots definitely not less bright.

MicroB isn't as good with scrolling as Opera. My recommendation would be to either turn snav off and change the d-pad to scrolling-only.

The good news is that it's only temporary, scrolling will get better.

How do you change the d-pad to scrolling-only? I've been wanting to do that ever since I got the device.

That one is a good thing. Maxed volume was out of speakers possibilities and without additional volume control on headphones many tracks were too loud.

Not sure about the sound bug, but my housemate was just commenting that he could hear music all the way in the living room. The only music being played was from the N800.

I have noticed that there are 2 volume controls to look out for in Media Player. While I can have the system volume cranked up all the way to the max, I also need to adjust the volume control slider in Media Player. And boy, is it LOUD.
