I installed Claws Mail on my N800 with OS2008 when I had no internal memory card, just an external. Claws then put its configuration files on the external card.

Now I have an internal card and want claws to use that and not the external card. But if I remove the external card Claws refuses to run (saying it need its data file or summat like that). I cannot find any settings within Claws for changing its location.

I tried uninstalling Claws, removing the external card and then reinstalling - but it seems to have kept its old settings and still looks for the external card.

I believe there is a folderlist.xml somewhere which maybe I can edit. But haven't been able to find that either.

Help and advice please.

P.S Extensive Googling has not helped.

OK - I managed it.
Used emelFM2 and found the configuration folder in home/user/claws-mail - emelFM2 has a setting to reveal hidden files which was what i needed to do.

Then edited the folderslist.xml and Clawsrc to point to the internal card (mmc2) where I has copied the files previously on the external card (mmc1).
It now appears to be working without the external card.

Hi,

thanks for the info.

What did you use for editing? Somehow I can't do it with nano, although I use X Terminal with "sudo gainroot".

Thanks

emelFM2 is both a file manager but also has built in editing.
I'm an utter linux newby but managed it with emelFM2.
