In various threads teach you install older versions (such as 5), but wanted to know if it is possible to install the latest (22). Especially in maemo.

Regards and long life to maemo / meego.

The first, and the most widely used, version of Chromium on Maemo 5 is Chromium 5. It was present in extras-devel repository of maemo.org, but has been removed around 2010-05-12 as "copyrighted" software.
The 'latest', most up-to-date, version of Chromium to run on Maemo 5 is Chromium 14 (a "Chromium OS" version, whatever this means).
The latest Chromium version is 24. But officially, Google does not support Chromium on Maemo 5. What stops others from unofficially porting Chromium to Maemo? How can Google claim that Chromium is "copyrighted" software? I don't know. You are welcome to look into the issue.

Thanks for your reply. It's amazing the support we have this community. And they say it is dead.

Is there any way to get the "final" version (Chromium OS 14)? Although it is a link "pirate?".

The problem didn't lie with google but a patent troll who sued google for patents allegedly infringed by chromium. I think Nokia just wanted to remove chromium from extras just to be on the safe side.

Ubuntu still offers chromium normally through the repositories.

I was trying to compile Chromium 17 once upon a time, but it had some dependencies unsatisfied/too old.
Chromium is open source afaik, Chrome is closed iirc.

Google doesn't support Chromium on a lot of platforms.
It is perfectly legal to build Chromium and redistribute it (taking note of the source code licenses, of course.)

Chrome (notice the name) however, is a brand protected by Google, and if you build Chromium with Chrome branding, and you're not Google, you can get your *** spanked hard.

IIRC the real issue was over yet another bollocks patent, but my memory's too hazy to remember.
